New! Teradek ACE 500 wireless HDMI video transmitter
A new wireless video system from the renowned manufacturer Teradek — the ACE 500 — has arrived at our film equipment rental. It consists of a transmitter with an HDMI input (full-size) and a receiver with an HDMI output (full-size). The ACE 500 transmits a wireless signal over distances of up to 150 metres at maximum Full HD 1080 60p quality.
The whole system was designed to be almost completely hands-off — plug in the power and it works. The transmission can be used at live events, for example, when the camera needs to be far from the vision engineer. The system has virtually negligible latency — under 1 millisecond. The Teradek ACE 500 performs significantly better for live transmissions and wireless focus pulling than budget alternatives from other manufacturers.
An additional advantage of the ACE 500 is the absence of antennas and its lightweight, compact housing — for gimbal applications this can be very important for the camera operator.
